Drexel University’s Vegetate is located within Chestnut Square, a dynamic hub of retail, residential, and academic life in the heart of the main campus. The project involved a complete gut of an existing café and new café design for vegetarian and vegan fare. The concept for the café was to serve students and professionals with unyielding schedules, little time, and a taste for fresh, healthy meals. This required particular attention to a deliberate flow of patrons through the café. The material selections help contribute to the overall experience that is Vegetate.
