Starbucks – Expanding Drexel’s Retail Dining Venues

Lebow 1

Drexel University retained Charles Matsinger Associates (CMA) to fit out a new full-service Starbuck’s retail space in the LeBow College of Business Building. The 1,100 square foot fit-out took place alongside the new building’s construction, and involved careful documentation and coordination of standards and elements between the new building and Starbucks. The cafe, which seats 36, serves both the Drexel community and the public.

This project required integrating the store into a building under construction.  In addition, store security was a priority, as circulation through the lobby into the lounge area continues during off-hours.

This was the fourth opportunity for CMA to collaborate with Drexel University in its mission to provide contemporary, innovative retail/dining venues for its varied campus and local populations. Starbucks now joins the following on-campus sites designed by CMA:  Drexel University’s Market 16 & Noodle Bar, Seasons Café and Vegetate
