Charles Matsinger Associates and Drexel University combined efforts to renovate the Lamda Chi Alpha kitchen. Originally a cluster of stand alone equipment and counters, the space was completely gutted and altered to accommodate its occupants with a focus on efficiency and durability. Existing overlapping partitions and soffits were carefully demolished to provide additional central floor space and to improve ventilation routing. New millwork and equipment were thoughtfully arranged to maximize available work space and storage and durable, low-maintenance finishes were deliberately selected to support the typical function within the space.
