As part of a new effort to upgrade numerous imaging and treatment units, CMA led a team to re-fit an existing vacant vault on the lower level of the Young Pavilion for a new Elekta Versa HD Linear Accelerator. The existing room perimeter and portion of its concrete floor slab were demolished to prepare for the Elekta and Brain Lab systems. The design process required close coordination with the manufacturer’s technical team. Final finish elements included a palette of soft colors, warm wood tones, and feature LED lighting to present a calm environment for patients.
