Drexel Market 16 Opens Its Doors

Construction was recently completed on the new Drexel University Market 16 & Noodle Bar at 34th and Market Streets which held its Grand Opening on October 11.

Located on the street level of the University’s parking garage in a space that formerly housed the University Facilities’ offices, the Market is a 4,500 square foot venue for the sale of freshly made and pre-packaged global foods with in-store dining areas.  Charles Matsinger Associates designed the Market and the new entrance flanked by outdoor seating and trellis-like canopies.

The Market features an elegant serving bar for preparation of Noodle Bowls, Sushi, and Tea and a variety of seating options including low counter seats, bar stool height seating at a large community table, and more intimate seating at smaller private tables along the new glazed storefront.  It was a unique concept among Drexel’s variety of dining options which CMA addressed with great care and respect for the University’s wish to provide a rich dining experience for its students and the local community.
